SARDA Donation by Natal Nomads
“Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference”
Assagay Feeds are privileged to have been involved with the recent donation by the Natal Nomads to SARDA Durban. There were many delighted faces and happy horses thanks to the generosity of the Natal Nomads.
A truck full of hay was delivered by Assagay Feeds and a R20 000 cheque was handed over to SARDA by Chad Walters, vice-captain of Natal Nomads.
SARDA Durban
South African Riding for the Disabled, Durban (SARDA) is an association that was established in 1980 and has been situated at Ridgetop Equestrian Centre in Assagay since 2007. A registered and well established Non-Profit organization, reliant on volunteers, none of which receive any monetary payment for time and service, and who rely solely on the pleasure and enjoyment derived from helping children with special needs.
All their funding is used for the care, feeding, and stabling of the horses, and for saddles and equipment for the Therapy in Motion Horse Riding for children with special needs.
Who are the Natal Nomads?
Founder Mike Florance had the foresight to establish a club with no fixed abode where like-minded golfers could get together once a month to enjoy each other’s company and at the same time raise money for those less fortunate and the furtherance of golf.
Natal Nomads Creed
‘No man is an island entire of itself;
Every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
Any man’s death diminishes me because I am involved in mankind;
And therefore, never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee’
